American violinist Chris holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Belmont University and a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Missouri, which he attended on the Leah L. Emmons Scholarship for Strings and Orchestra. He was awarded the Kathleen Kabrick String Project Award at the University of Missouri, for his leadership in teaching.

Chris studied violin with Elisabeth Small and Eva Szekely, and chamber music with the Esterhazy String Quartet. He has also attended masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Hellen Weiss, Orsolya Korcsolan, Michael Stern, and the Tesla Quartet.

Chris has performed with the Missouri Symphony, University of Missouri Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Summer Music Festival Orchestra, and Berlin Opera Academy Orchestra, in addition to several chamber music groups around the United States. A frequent performer of new music, he has performed in four world premieres and has worked with contemporary composers to assist in writing for violin.

Chris has taught chamber music for the Music City Youth Orchestra in Nashville, Tennessee and taught violin and viola classes in both private and group settings for the Missouri String Project at the University of Missouri. He has a wealth of experience teaching students of all levels and ages. As an educator, Chris aims to assist students in discovering their own sound and style through developing a strong technical foundation.
