Suitable for: ages 1.5-2.5

Term: Spring 2025 – January to June (20 weeks)

Instructor: Candy / Paul

Course Format: Group - Accompanied (45 minutes)

In the M.int Seeds course, students embark on an exciting journey into the world of sound and music. This course is designed to precede instrumental lessons, laying the foundation for a balanced and comprehensive musical education unique to M.int Academy.

Together with their accompanying adults, children will develop a meaningful connection with the key musical elements like pulse, pitch, dynamics, timbre and rhythm in a safe and collaborative environment.

Each week, students will engage in Kodály-inspired singing and movement activities that enhance emerging motor and coordination skills, exploring exciting themes like the jungle, sea, sky and beyond! Through playground songs and rhymes, students will learn to use their bodies, voices and handheld instruments, discovering how sound can be transformed through their own actions. By exploring the relationship between music and mood, students will begin to shape their own musical identities and experiment with the expressive possibilities of music.

The Kodály Method not only enriches musical skills but also boosts numerical, linguistic, and social skills, making it a holistic approach to early childhood music education.
