Paul obtained his Bachelor of Music in Voice and Piano Performance from the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music. He studied under the tutelage of Dr. Ronan Ferrer for voice and Professor Najib Ismail for piano.
Paul’s performance experience includes competing in TV competitions like “It’s Showtime” on ABS-CBN, performing operatic roles in Noli Me Tangere the Opera at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and sharing the stage with Grammy Award-winning soprano Sumi Jo in 2017. He is a former member of the Singapore Symphonic Chorus, and has also performed at prestigious venues such as Esplanade Concert Hall and Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore.
A dedicated and passionate music educator, Paul has taught at various music schools and academies across Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines since 2006. He has taught private piano and voice lessons to students from age 3 to adults over 60, and has over 5 years of experience in designing and conducting music exploration classes for students aged 3-6. He is well-versed in the ABRSM and Trinity syllabi for practical and performance exams, with majority of his students achieving Distinction and Merit results.
With a focus on structured, habit-driven and feedback-oriented teaching methods, Paul is dedicated to nurturing the growth of aspiring musicians. He views music as a powerful tool for personal development and aims to guide his students in reaching their full musical potential.
